Mentor, Ohio—Nail technicians at Jenniffer & Co. were introduced to the latest nail product Minx, a flexible polymer film that is available in metallic’s, artistic designs, personalized graphics and photo quality images. Minx can be completely customized to the client’s needs and matched to any outfit, image or fabric. Minx is not a liquid and no hazardous chemicals are used in its application.

Jenniffer Pealer, who co-owns the salon with her brother, Joe Sullens, stated, “I think it will be the hottest new product in our industry. I am happy to offer such an exclusive product that has such longevity”.

The Minx product was introduced to the salon by Mellissa Bozant, who has 29 years of experience in the beauty industry and can be found internationally tending to models and actresses alike. Her clientele includes A-listers such as Angelina Jolie, Eva Mendes, Jessica Simpson, Mandy Moore, Gabrielle Union and Sheryl Crowe. Bozant has worked at New York’s fashion week as well as many charity events involving her foundation.

Bozant carried the class through the timely process that involved heating the polymer under a lamp and then placing the design on a clean, lightly-filed natural nail or acrylic. The product is then allowed to cool and filed to fit the nail with a glass file. The end result is up to the consumer’s imagination because of all the various designs available. The Minx will stay on natural nails for up to a week, and acrylics for slightly longer. Larger sheets are available for toe nails where the product is found to remain the longest.

Minx nails were introduced to the industry through celebrities such as Rihanna, Lady Ga Ga, Beyonce and Mariah Carey, They have been featured in many magazines, including “Life and Style” and “Nails”. Bozant informed the company there were very few salons in Ohio offering the service and it makes Jenniffer & Co. “one of a kind”.
